Today I heard the first Frogs of the season. Mali ignores the Squirrels in the Spruce trees. Not sure why, but they do not even attract her attention. The water is dropping fast, but many trails are still blocked. I did not take any photographs because I wanted to focus on Mali. It is a joy watching her explore, she will leap over streams and branches. Her confidence and comfort in exploring makes me happy to watch. Because some of the longer trails are blocked I walk from one end of the Boreal Forest Trail and back and then go over to the Bird Banding Station. I let Mali loose on the Boreal Trail when it is early in the morning and there are no people around.
